I started building strongman equipment from scratch, frustrated by a lack of good CAD models or plans for the specific gear I wanted. I took it upon myself to design everything needed. Designed especially with advanced lifters in mind, this DN300/12" strongman log is perfect for serious use. Main body construction involves using readily available Schedule 20 DN300 pipe. This makes a great base to load with and securely pin, which can then be topped off with more sturdy options. Pin placements use the reliable DN40 standard while schedule DN25 provides strength needed in the handles for a firm grip. Critical End plates constructed of thick 5mm mild steel provide protection against wear or bending, so be sure they're crafted from strong material like mild steel to minimize distortion when put through extreme weight.
