DM4 microscope to Bausch&Lomb base adapter

DM4 microscope to Bausch&Lomb base adapter

I built an adapter plate to convert a budget-friendly DM4 microscope into an older Bausch&Lomb stand I already had lying around. This solution is fantastic because the stand provides excellent stability and multiple lighting options. The adapter features a hole for an M3 hexnut/M3 screw that clamps the microscope in place, although this step is optional. To design the adapter, I relied on press-fitting it onto a vise, meaning you'll also need access to a vise to remove or destroy the adapter if needed. My DM4 sits perfectly flat on the adapter, and that works out beautifully (microscope_adapter_DM4_large.stl). Alternatively, microscope_adapter_DM4.stl uses the smaller lower diameter of the DM4 for mounting.
