DLG Modular Wall Mount (Discus Launch Glider)
thingiverse
This is a wall mount design that I conceptualized using Fusion 360 to support DLGs (Discus hand Launch Gliders). I drew inspiration from a cardboard DLG mount that I designed years ago with some modifications. It features modules so that you can display one or multiple DLGs on a single wall mount. Each of the three modules included supports a DLG at different angles. Centered for optimal stability, leaning left and right to accommodate varying launch styles. The purpose of the various angles is to prevent tails from colliding. I have successfully printed up to three modules to support three DLGs on a single wall mount. It's essential to exercise caution, however, as under-extruded or flawed prints can compromise the strength of the mount. I recommend testing it with weights exceeding the maximum planned usage before attaching your valuable DLGs. I am not using felt or any other materials on the mount and have observed no wear on the leading edges during my testing period, but I suggest applying a layer of felt to the modules where the wings rest for added protection against scratching.
