DJI S800 ESC LED Dome

DJI S800 ESC LED Dome

The LED on DJI S800 ESCs sticks out from the bottom of the PCB, making it super easy to break if you're not careful when setting down an arm. It's also tough to tell which motor you're working with since there are no labels on them. Here's a simple solution: add labelled LED domes. I took the design from Adafruit's LED Dome and gave it a makeover by stripping off the tiny wings and adding a label that displays the motor number. This modified dome doesn't just shield the LED but also serves as a clever tulip design, allowing you to see the light clearly even when viewed from the sides. Print Settings Rafts: Don't worry about this Supports: It's not important here Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: Go for 50% Notes: I've made available six labelled domes along with a separate STL file that only includes the dome, just in case you want domes without labels. Download the files you need and print them out - most of this will be low-filament intensive printing. Don't forget to keep your infill at 50% to save filament usage. You can use any color you like, but white is a popular choice. If you do choose white, make sure it's the translucent kind. After Printing Get painting and assemble I used black permanent markers to mark my motor numbers on the labels for better visibility. Next step, install them - I suggest using thin double-sided tape like that found in phone screens to hold the labels in place. Other glues work too!
