DJI Remote iPad Pro 12.9" Support Bracket - Bare and Otterbox Case
thingiverse
Revision 2 has been posted recently. I've noticed that when using the holder, the iPad had some color distortion where the clamps were on the Otterbox version. So, I adjusted the drawing and updated the stl files to loosen up the clamp a bit. The fitment test has also been revised. I also tweaked the distance between the remote holders by 10mm total. When stretching BlaiseB's for the iPad Pro, I went a little too far initially. This is a remix of BlaiseB's design, which in my opinion is simple yet brilliant. This remix is designed for the first gen iPad Pro 12.9", with both "bare" and Otterbox "cased" variants available. Changes to the base design include: - iPad clamps spaced at the required distance for a 12.9" iPad - Clamp profiles adjusted for iPad 12.9" dimensions - Support rings moved, cloned, and re-tasked as line guides - Paired through holes relocated to align with line guides Additional items needed: - Neck Strap - ~4' 550 Paracord Optional items include: - Small tote bag for USB cable management Assembly is straightforward. Thread the Paracord through two line guides on one side, then through a paired hole, then through the matching hole on the other holder piece, and so forth. Between the two line guides, I've placed a Bowline Knot. A page with essential knots, including the Bowline, can be found here: https://www.artofmanliness.com/articles/7-basic-knots-every-man-should-know/. The other end of the Paracord should have a loop knot at a reasonable point for your neck strap, then cut to length and fused. Do this again from the opposite side. The idea behind these changes was to offload stress from the printed loops being pure suspension, to that of a captured guide for a line that both suspends and clamps the iPad as weight increases. Included in the files are two fitment test prints. I would recommend printing one first to see how it fits prior to running the full print. One set can be printed on a 220x220 build surface.
