This adapter doesn't require any physical alteration of the remote. You only need: -2x RP-SMA to IPEX cable (+/- 20cm) -2x plastic screw #2 x 10mm -2x Antennas (I used old Asus router antennas) This extend the range of about +500m in the city with the crappy Asus antenna, with propers Alfa APA-M25 you can double your range.
