DJI Phantom 4 Pro Remote ID BlueMark Drone Beacon DB120 Mount
thingiverse
Mounting a remote ID beacon on the DJI Phantom 4 Pro is problematic given limited viable mounting surfaces on the drone. While I not totally happy with my mounting solution, this represents a viable option until something better comes along. The mount affixes to one of the P4P's legs using velcro straps, where the beacon is slipped into the mount from the top. 3M velcro straps, sometimes labeled as removable wire ties, are used to affix the mount to the bottom and side of one leg. Slots in the mount accommodate felt tape, though use of felt is not required. To assemble the mount, slip a velcro straps through the slots provided. Then add the felt tape. With respect to antenna polarization, the manufacture of the Drone Beacon does not specify the antenna type or its orientation. Likely the antenna resides in the DB120's raised up area where mounting it on its side could result in a 3 dB loss. But compliance says nothing about RF loss due to mounting orientation...
