DJI Phantom 4 Pro - FPV Racing Version I scored the DJI Phantom 4 Pro display model, essentially a hollow shell with functional motors, camera gimbal, and no camera. Given my enthusiasm for first-person view (FPV) racing, I transformed it into a 6S-powered beast. Inside the arms of the quadcopter lies ample space for high-power 30a electronic speed controllers and room to accommodate a 30x30mm flight controller stack above the gimbal. The display model came with operational brushless gimbal motors, which I decided to preserve by locking up the gimbal at approximately 30 degrees. A custom mount was created for the Runcam Mini Swift camera, and additional mounts were fabricated for the flight controller stack. For those familiar with building racing quads, this project should pose no difficulties. To avoid any potential issues or alterations, I used spare parts exclusively to build this FPV quadcopter. In the future, I may consider adding GPS capabilities to transform it into a long-range quadcopter. My primary goal was to maintain discretion while creating a visually striking and attention-grabbing machine that could powerloop through an FPV gate. https://youtu.be/1BPWFxk-HNM Edit: Banggood is now offering a knockoff P4 shell, available for purchase on their website.
