I remixed the design from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1356725 since the original couldn't accommodate my gimbal and camera guard, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2297120. I had to start over and make it flexible for any setup. The shock-absorbing material does its job every time it lands and hopefully helps the drone land safely on rough surfaces without damaging the frame. I've experienced two severe crashes since installing these extended feet, one where my drone dropped 30 meters from a spinning motion onto a roof and crashed to the ground. Thankfully, they protected the drone well but were broken after impact. The shorter version was created to minimize the chance of capturing the foot tip while flying. The new design is shortened by 20 centimeters in total (10 centimeters at the front and 10 centimeters at the back). August 2017 Update A new modification with a blended foot at the front was made to further avoid the camera angle catching the foot.
