DJI Phantom 3 Signal/Range Booster Extended Mounts
thingiverse
UPDATE: I've pushed my personal distance record to 11,758 feet with the help of a signal booster + these extended mounts.\nI highly recommend mswarden's DJI Phantom 3 & Inspire 1 Range Extender design. His setup is spot on, and he's placed the antenna right at the parabola's focal point.\nHowever, I discovered that moving the range extender 2.7cm further away from the antennas gave me an even better signal boost. So, I extended the mounts by 2.7cm and you should too!\nThe signal booster is giving me a significant boost of at least 1,500-2,000 feet. I need to run another test to determine the exact range difference, but I did send my drone out far enough that when I removed the signal booster, I was immediately disconnected from my drone. So, it definitely works!\nPrinter Settings\nPrinter Brand: MakerBot\nPrinter Model: MakerBot Replicator 1\nUse Raft: Yes\nUse Supports: No\nResolution: .20mm Layer Height\nInfill Percentage: 20%\nNotes: If you're using MakerBot Desktop, a raft is likely required. I almost never use one, but due to the beveled edges of this design, it's best to use a raft.\nI used MakerBot Desktop with standard settings (0.2mm layer height) and adjusted the infill to 20% since you'll need internal strength as a screw will pass through it.
