Housings for Strobon Cree LED strobe lights plus dual-purpose DJI Phantom 3 Pro gimbal guards and strobe light mountings are now available. To comply fully with UK CAA and US FAA regulations when flying a UAV at night, you must be visible to other airspace users from a minimum distance of three miles. This is achieved by installing different colored strobe lights on your UAV. Strobon Cree LED's can be easily purchased online; however, the only supplied method for attaching them to your UAV is through double-sided adhesive velcro strips. To address this issue, I have created a housing that not only protects Strobon Cree LED's but also makes switching them on and off much easier. The housings are then mounted to a custom-designed mount that secures to the Phantom 3 Pro's landing gear while also functioning as a camera gimbal guard.
