DJI Phantom 3 gimbal camera guard template

Caution: DO NOT USE THIS AS IS. The printed ABS/PLA gimbal guard falls short in terms of strength, making it nearly useless during a crash. This design serves as a template for cutting CFRP. For detailed instructions, see the "Instructions" section. In the images provided, the guard was created using 1.5mm CFRP board. Additionally, my P3 drone features an http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:890374 body sun shade and a nside camera equipped with an ND8 (three-step) filter to reduce the jello effect on sunny days. Designed using OpenSCAD software. Instructions To create a CFRP/FRP gimbal guard, begin by printing out this template, testing it on your drone (and making necessary modifications), then attaching it to a CFRP/FRP board and cutting it using a diamond blade bandsaw or handy grinder. This design provides very tight protection without affecting the field of view, gimbal movement, or VPS sensors. However, if you're using thicker CFRP/FRP boards, it may impact gimbal dance performance (cut the center front part more carefully), when the camera is fully down and moves quickly in a rapid motion (especially backward), a portion of the view may be obstructed. At the central section, creating holes can be challenging, but it's not necessary to do so, as there's minimal airflow present. The last two images showcase an alternative idea for a backside guard (no CAD data is available). This design was created using leftover CFRP. Keep in mind that lower guards are preferred, but ensure they don't interfere with the ultrasonic sensors; test a prototype made from paper and confirm that the VPS height value displays correctly.
