UPDATE: Beware of potential jelly roll effect on extremely sunny days. I suggest considering an alternative solution available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:890374 body sun shade. On extremely sunny days, prevent halation by ensuring the sun remains outside your field of view. This approach is also highly effective for avoiding flicker caused by rotating propellers' shadows. This updated work (version 4) draws inspiration from DanHamilton's pioneering creation at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:825988. Designed using OpenScad, this model was refined with expert precision by the Microsoft Model Repair Service. Instructions Lightweight design achieved through careful crafting resulted in an ultra-lightweight version of 2.3g (made from high-quality ABS), reducing gimbal vibration effects ("jello effect"). However, it may also cause slight vibration under specific conditions (wind, fly/ascend/descend speed, prop balance, etc.). I strategically cut off the lower half to avoid interfering with the gimbal guard when flying low, but found it better removed during bird power activation. Calibrate your gimbal without the hood, and then install it afterward. For added stability, I use vinyl tape or mending tape for any necessary adjustments. The field of view is precisely 94 degrees, very tight and compact, which my ABS printer handles well despite slight shrinking effects, but doesn't impact the video quality. Handle with care due to the hag arm's fragility; I suggest using a protective cylinder (31.5mm diameter x 20.5mm depth) when not in use for optimal results.
