We're really close with this latest prototype, folks! My ultimate goal was to craft a lens hood that expertly blocks out blade flicker when facing direct sunlight without requiring any extra parts or adhesives to secure it. This baby needed to be super lightweight too, coming in under 2 grams. Oh, and did I mention it's completely free? Your thoughts and feedback are welcome - we're all ears! To assemble the shade, simply insert two shells at a 10% offset from the center of the lens. The design is engineered for easy installation, ensuring a smooth fit onto the inner flare, right up against the leading edge of the lens itself.
