It is a high-quality, low-poly 3D model of the DJI Phantom 2 Quadcopter featuring a Propeller Guard and a Zenmuse H4-3D gimbal compatible with the GoPro Hero4 or 3. The 3D model utilizes ortho-photos of the actual quadcopter and gimbal, ensuring all design details are recreated accurately. This model's ease of use is attributed to its simple mesh structure, low-poly count (conserving system resources), and two distinct materials: one for the quadcopter and another for the gimbal. Regardless of the rendering tool used, the model always appears realistic due to its high-resolution photo-textures. The model's clever topology design combines with detailed textures to achieve exceptional quality at a relatively low polygon count. Close-up views are also supported, further emphasizing its capabilities. To enhance realism, advanced texture maps including Specular, Glossiness, Bump, and Emission are employed on the luminous elements of the model, such as screens and indicators. To optimize the bump depth, the bump multiplier is set at 0.2 in Maya Software materials or V-Ray MTL materials for Maya. A total of nine primary textures are included with resolutions ranging from 2048 to 4096 pixels per square inch, saved in PNG format. Additionally, the original PSD files for these textures can be found within the provided archive. You can animate the propeller by rotating its mesh or adjust the gimbal's position through simple rotation on specific level groups. These are structured into a three-level hierarchy for each hinge, enabling users to manipulate them easily. If desired, you can also hide the Propeller Guard mesh to use the quadcopter without it. This model was created using Maya 2009 and includes accurate real-world dimensions in centimeters. All parts of the model are properly grouped and named. Furthermore, a pre-configured render-scene is provided in the .ma format from Maya 2014 with V-Ray 2.40 plugin. This scene can be opened successfully in earlier versions up to Maya 2012 using V-Ray 2.0 without any compatibility issues. To use the model with other 3D programs, scenes are saved in formats such as .fbx, .obj, .DAE, and .max (compatible with 2010 version). Note that this is a Low-Poly model designed for standard render scenarios; it's not recommended for using any smoothing modifiers.
