The camera can be rotated around its balance point from horizontal to 90 degrees down without any issues. The usage of dampers and earplugs ensures that vibrations are well controlled, allowing the SD card, battery, and all camera buttons to remain accessible. Weight: Each fully assembled mount weighs approximately 50 grams. With the GM1 and 12-32mm lens attached, the mount weighs around 290 grams. Despite the added weight, the Phantom 2 still moves swiftly and remains easy to control. Flight time is only slightly decreased. Lenses: I have tested these mounts with various lenses (Panasonic 12-32mm, Panasonic 20mm, and Olympus 9mm). In theory, the balance point differs for each lens. However, the DJI Phantom 2's flight controller handles this perfectly. Height: In the landscape mount, the camera is well above the ground. Depending on the lens and angle, it may be lower than standard landing gears. In the portrait mount, the GM1 is always below the landing gear, which can be resolved with larger landing gears. I use foam blocks for takeoff and catch the drone in mid-air during landing.
