DJI Osmo Pocket Tripod Mount Base
thingiverse
The DJI Osmo Pocket is an incredible little camera capable of creating stunning time lapse and motion lapse footage, but it also serves as a trusty cameraman for solo shooters who need subject and face tracking features. To unlock these capabilities, simply set the camera down, and it will start working its magic. However, there's one catch - you can't actually mount it securely since there's no 1/4-20 mounting thread on the bottom. This handy little support/mount steps in to provide a solution by adding a 1/4-20 thread on the bottom, along with a slot for the USB-C connection and noise cancellation microphone to function without any issues. I also widened the base so that when you set the camera down, it becomes significantly more stable than the Osmo Pocket is on its own - quite top-heavy in fact. The mount features a clever cut-out on the side, allowing you to access the Micro SD card slot while the Osmo Pocket is securely inside. The Osmo Pocket remains locked in place by friction, but I've found it to be more than sufficient through extensive testing. I can confidently hold the mount upside down and shake it vigorously without the Osmo Pocket budging an inch. Additionally, I can lift my mini ball head and tripod by the Osmo Pocket's body and still find that it stays put - no sliding or falling out in sight. Let me know how this works out for you! If you have any suggestions for improvements, maybe we can work together to make some exciting updates! Updates: - Added version (osmomountwoffsetbaseexpandedslot-v7.stl) with offset threaded mount and expanded slot for fitting larger USB-C connectors.
