DJI Mavic Pro landing skid / raiser

I needed something easier to grab for hand catching (landing) than just the main body of my Mavic Pro when I was sailing with my boat, especially when the sea was rough. So I created a frame and skids for underneath the DJI Mavic Pro's main body. The frame will clear the two sensors and VPS camera perfectly. Now, the bottom of the gimbal camera is about 7 centimeters from the ground! That's 5 centimeters more than when it was in its original configuration. The total weight of the frame plus skids is 50 grams with PLA. The "skids" and "frame" are easy to remove. Later, I will also create a small snap-on platform for the frame that will carry my small 5.2 GHz FPV transmitter and battery. UPDATE 25-01-2017: I updated the frame to version two. It's a more improved and printer-friendly version of the frame. (frame-v2.stl) UPDATE 27-01-2017: I updated the two skids because some users were having problems with the Mavic's VPS. I've tested the new skids, and I had no problems with the VPS. See my YouTube video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dw9pbMfOQAA . I also created a "pool-noodles-attachment" for water recovery. Check it out on Thingiverse: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2061712. And yes, I agree... It doesn't look pretty, but it gets the job done. Please fly safe! Mavic-pro.help Disclaimer: In addition, due to damage and accidents caused by using this part, I do not take any responsibility. Printer Settings Printer: XYZ da Vinci 1.0 Pro Rafts: No Supports: Yes Infill: frame 50%, skids 20% Notes: Remember that you will need to print both skids because there is a left and right version! I used PLA in the above example pictures.
