Inspired by Isaiahsdad's drop rig https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2898647. This attachment utilizes 2 existing screws on the Mavic. The original screws were replaced with slightly longer ones, ensuring a secure fit. The screw thread measures .078" (2mm) by 40tpi. Any pitch 2mm screw should work effectively since it's designed to penetrate plastic. The drop rig was printed using a 3-shell design with 30% infill, resulting in a weight of 7.5g. Surprisingly, this amount of material is strong enough to hold several ounces. During testing, the initial version proved too easy to drop, prompting an upgrade to V2 with slightly sloped arms. Unfortunately, even V2 still posed a risk of unintentional drops, leading to the development of V3 with steeper arms. The monofilament used in V3 may not provide sufficient friction; alternative strings with more grip might be necessary for earlier versions.
