So I just got my DJI Mavic Mini drone and before flying it, I was really excited that I spent a lot of time watching videos online about it. I found out that the CE version has less range than the FCC one because its maximum power output is lower. To boost the range and stability, increasing the efficiency of the antenna is our best option. Many people suggest buying reflectors with a parabolic shape and a metal layer for this purpose, which cost around 10 to 20 dollars. I decided to create mine in 3D since it's relatively easy to do. The reflector sits on the controller's antenna, while the metallic reflective part is made from copper tape - the same type I use for DIY patch and microstrip antennas. Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to test it yet because I'm not allowed to fly where I am right now, so I need to go somewhere farther away to see if it really works. However, as a reflector, it should work just like any other one, directing the signal towards the drone's line of sight. I hope this helps!
