DJI Inspire 2 X5S Balance Ring Adapter for 45-175mm Panasonic Lens - LEAD WEIGHT REQUIRED
thingiverse
I've finally gotten around to sharing my design from way back when. I'll be posting the total weight of my assembly, which consists of a 3D printing Balance Ring, a lead weight, and hot glue used to attach the lead weight, so you can aim for that weight in your own setup. I'll also share my side weight calculations to help balance this lens completely. Here's how it works: There's a cap on the rear of the X5S that can be unscrewed - just look up DJI Balance Ring Install to see how it's done. This part threads onto the X5S and securely holds a lead weight in place, preventing any shifting or movement that could throw off your balanced lens. Keep in mind that my weights might not work seamlessly with your setup, so be prepared to put some time into fine-tuning the balance. I'd appreciate it if you print this design and balance your lens; please share the materials, resolution, and weight of each part. I used ABS, which is less dense than PETG, so the lead weight will vary depending on how much hot glue is used to attach it. Check out the photo with the yellow surface - that's where the hot glue goes to hold the lead weight in place.
