DJI Inspire 2 Catch Handles
pinshape
These handles were designed for anyone needing to capture their inspiration from anywhere, including operations taking off or landing from a boat, ice, rocky terrain, or sand where there's limited room. As the owner of a media company based on Australia's coast, we often fly from boats, which can be tricky with limited space for takeoffs or landings. I've been using these handles for over a year now and have found them to be flawless. This design is actually the precursor to my DJI Inspire 1 design, which I also posted here. After flying the Inspire 1 with these handles for many years, we upgraded our drones to the Inspire 2 and redesigned these handles from scratch for the new craft. Some key features of these handles include being extremely lightweight and sturdy when printed correctly, so they don't affect flight time. They're also designed not to obstruct the camera's vision. When the landing gear is raised, they can't be seen in the camera's view. Additionally, they've been designed to stay permanently attached to the drone and fit into the stock standard case that comes with the Inspire 2. Parts needed: * 2 x 10mm x 130mm carbon fiber tubes * 4 x rubber or heat shrink between the handles and i2 arms (I used a bike tube, which worked great) * 12 x 15mm M3 bolts * 12 x M3 nuts * Lock tight (just in case something comes loose) Printing settings: * PLA, ABS, or PETG * 70-100% infill * Print speed: 30-40% * Print facing down with supports
