DJI Inspire 1 Style middle frame landing gear (NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ORIGINAL)

PLEASE DO NOT PRINT THIS IS A PROJECT STILL IN DEVELOPMENT This component serves as the landing gear mechanism for the legs of the Inspire 1 and is also the middle frame structure of the drone. Print Settings Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 80 How I Designed This This part was one of the most challenging to create, as not only did I have to estimate sizes and shapes, but I also couldn't get a clear view of any mounting positions other than the four side mounts shown in some pictures and videos found online. Additionally, I had to design the battery holder structure to gain a clearer understanding of its actual width. For this component, I could have created it in two pieces, but I decided to break it apart even further to allow for changing printing directions and obtaining the best rigidity possible. I adapted the part to accommodate any standard servo found online. The choice ultimately depends on you. The top section of the structure will be modified to accommodate DC motors for those who wish to pursue an alternative approach. You will notice that no endstop placeholder has been designed, as this feature is no longer necessary (explanation coming later in the project). The leadscrew and anti-backlash nut used are 6mm ones commonly found online for around $10. The bearing slot has also been modified to accommodate various types of bearings.
