Dji Fpv Goggle Shims
thingiverse
I made custom shims for my DJI goggles to fit my face perfectly. This eliminated 95% of light leaks on the sides and top, making them more comfortable too. The even pressure distribution makes all the difference! I'll share a link to the files with those who might benefit from this solution. I printed the shims at 15% infill since I'm out of TPU. It's a good temporary fix until DJI offers more foam shapes. Once I had the shims printed, I mounted them to the goggles using double-sided tape on the bed side. First, I placed the shim on the goggle and cut the original velcro from where it would attach. Then, I carefully removed the velcro from the goggle and reused it because it was still sticky. After cleaning the surface, I applied double-sided tape to secure the shims in place. Finally, I reattached the velcro on top of the shim, allowing the foam mounts to go back in place. I printed the shims in black with minimal infill to ensure they remain flexible and can conform to the shape of the goggles.
