DJI FPV Air Unit Case
thingiverse
This is a compact air unit case with retractable antenna tubes positioned at the rear. The design was conceived to facilitate effortless non-permanent installation within a quad/wing framework equipped with built-in antenna holders. I created this case with the intention of allowing users to slip shrink tubing over the antenna holders, followed by the insertion of antennas that can be secured in place using clips. Once the antennas are securely fastened, the user can shrink the tube and heat-form the angle to their desired preference. The design was modeled around the Project 399 practice rig due to its inherent awkwardness in accommodating 90-degree antennas without risking abrasion against the top plate. This versatile design should accommodate a wide range of cases, not just the one it was originally based on. The current configuration features a 45-degree antenna angle (90 degrees included between the antennas), but it can be easily modified to suit other angles if needed. This design is still a work in progress and not yet finalized. If you have any constructive comments or suggestions, please feel free to share them, and I will take your input into consideration. UPDATE: I have added an optional 60-degree included angle version for the antennas, as per DJI's official recommendation. This may be of particular interest to users who prefer this configuration.
