DJI F550 Landing Gear
thingiverse
DJI F550 Landing Gear was originally built from thin sheets of 2mm plywood, but I decided to recreate it in 3D instead. Unfortunately, my current 3D printer is not capable of printing such intricate designs yet, so I will have to upgrade or modify its capabilities soon. The initial plywood version turned out remarkably lightweight and surprisingly strong, considering its minimal materials used. This design incorporates a special compartment for housing a 4-cell battery, protecting it from potential impacts while keeping the copter's center of gravity impressively low. Several friends have benefited from this improved landing gear design, except for one whose unit suffered an unfortunate "Naza fly-away" issue - the resulting destruction left a GoPro damaged but fortunately spared most of the quadcopter's frame. In retrospect, returning to my laser machine to remake the parts only took about an hour before I was back up and running again. The new setup included custom-made transport boxes for easy transportation and convenient storage. Instructing Cura settings will be: W: 281.7mm D: 296.1mm H: 166.6mm Please adjust the scale to 100 percent - though unfortunately, I am still struggling with certain 3D software functionalities. One picture has been attached, but upon review of its format - only certain features and details could be displayed properly. In cura please make sure your scale is set to 100 and verify if the dimensions meet: W;281.7 , D;296.1 , H;166.6
