DJI F550 / 450 Folding Landing gear legs

The landing gear for my F550 & F450 drones from DJI malfunctioned just a couple of days after installation. The original DJI landing gear also has a major flaw - it's not foldable, so I had to remove it every time I traveled. Designing a good landing gear that's also foldable and attaches to the bottom plate is a challenging task, one that I'm still pondering. In the meantime, I searched online for alternative landing gear specifically designed for my F550 and found a few options that attach to the arms but aren't foldable - another transportation problem. To solve this issue, I spent some time designing a foldable landing gear from scratch. One of the key challenges was figuring out how to keep it folded or unfolded; the solution turned out to be surprisingly simple: R clips. My design features 2 mm holes for the R clip to insert when folded or unfolded. However, when I visited my local hardware store, I couldn't find any R clips that matched perfectly, so I decided to make my own using a wire coat hanger - it was a fun DIY project! The hole in the middle of the R clip is 4 mm in diameter, and I used an M4 screw that's 16 mm long. Since the screw fits by force and creates its own thread on top of the 3D printed piece, there's no need for a nut. However, to provide extra security, you can use a slightly longer screw (20 mm) and an M4 lock nut if you prefer.
