This project aims to overhaul the 450 frame from DJI with numerous enhancements. Designed to accommodate a PixHawk Flight Controller, this modification mounts an embedded dumper board onto the new top board of the F450 Shell. A sturdy cover inspired by the DJI Inspire is designed to safeguard the flight controller, ensuring seamless performance. The redesigned model integrates a GPS, buzzer, external Led&USB board, security switch, 3dr telemetry, receiver, and cables into the design, providing easy access for maintenance in the field. Future iterations will feature a lateral cover with an effortless removal mechanism to shield electronics from dust and potential hazards. The bottom plate undergoes significant improvements. A battery barrier is added to simplify the insertion and secure positioning of a 2200 3S battery. This addition also enhances overall strength. Precision holes are designed for attaching a 32GB Gimbal plate equipped with four dampening balls. The project includes an innovative redesign of a widely recognized gimbal, initially designed for a Mobius Cam. The existing gimbal poses accessibility issues when operating the camera's power button, prompting a revamp to facilitate easier control. To enable the attachment of this redesigned gimbal, 4 legs are incorporated into the design. Notably, these provided legs are not long enough for stable landings with the gimbal attached. Hence, additional extra-large legs should be used in conjunction with the standard design. This limitation will be addressed in future iterations. Throughout this project, Tinker Cad has proven an incredibly intuitive tool. I highly recommend using it for future endeavors. Enhanced legs and a revised gimbal have been uploaded, facilitating improved access to camera controls. A critical note should be taken that this design leverages existing templates and may require adjustments for optimal results. Users are urged to examine the original template closely, ensuring seamless adaptation. Additionally, be aware of the necessary adjustments required to secure proper fitment with your Quad setup.
