DJI-F450-Flamewheel Blade guard
thingiverse
This is a safeguard for DJI-F450 or F550 quadcopter frames, designed to shield blades up to 10 inches from crashes into objects and the ground during poor landings. The safety net easily clips onto each arm's end and secures with a #6-32 x 2 inch machine screw and nut. Three strategically placed holes along the arc of the guard allow for extra protection by tying in a length of nylon twine to block any potential objects entering between the guards. These will fit officially certified DJI-flamewheel arms perfectly, possibly also fitting other similarly designed frames. Instructions Using my MakerBot Replicator 2, I printed these with settings at 3mm resolution, 15% infill, and support features activated (no rafts used). Each safeguard takes approximately one and a half hours to print using PLA material. Printing with maximum infill will double the overall printing time.
