DJI F-550 Drone Bottom Attachment Set
thingiverse
I'm fed up with trying to figure out how to mount stuff to the bottom of my DJI F-550 frame, so I came up with an attachment plate that can be used as a base for all sorts of attachments. This design lets you add new gear without having to drill any holes in the bottom plate. No more disassembling the whole drone just to attach something - it's a huge time-saver. The plate uses M3 x 0.4mm heat set inserts, which can be found at the link below. Using this design, I can easily customize or create new attachments and screw them straight onto the bottom of my F-550. It's worked incredibly well for me so far. Some people might think it adds too much weight, but it gives me a ton of flexibility and is definitely worth the extra weight. The retractable gear attachments have holes for Tarot TL65B44 small retractable gear. The battery mount has slots for velcro straps, and I left the bottom solid for adhesive velcro to hold the battery in place. One thing to note: these base attachment plates are specifically designed for a DJI F-550 frame. They won't fit clone frames - mine didn't work with a set of clone plate frames I recently ordered. The design relies on the circular cutouts in the DJI frame to attach the base plates together. Heat set inserts can be found here: https://www.mcmaster.com/94459a130
