DJI Controller Lanyard add-on
thingiverse
Since I use a tablet to fly my drones, the lanyard for the controller no longer works and can't use it (Lanyard Strap mount for DJI Min 2 or Mavic Air 2s - thing:4697519). I used Drop-in M4 and M5 T-slot Nuts to attach the screws into the controller (nuts can work too). Please be aware opening the controller will void the warranty and if you don't have the proper tools you can damage the controller. You can follow this guide: Dji Mavic Air 2 Remote Control Disassembly (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKdMerETI1g&t) Be careful when prying open the sides as there are the FN and Camera buttons you can damage if using a tool too far inside the controller. I Started making marks where I found the best location for the screws. Then use a knife to make a groove to help the drill bit make the hole where I needed and not slipping all over the edge. The screws fit better if they are almost all covered by the top lid and also gives them more space for the T-Slot nuts. When reassembling, check the switcher slider from the lid matches the switch in the controller and don't forget to reconnect the connectors. Start clamping from the bottom of the controller where the screws are now located to the top. Put back the 4 screws and that is all.
