DIY WIRE BENDING MACHINE
thingiverse
Hello friends, I've built a 2D wire bending machine using an Arduino microcontroller. This compact machine bends 1sq mm brass wire with ease. Most parts are 3D printed on my Tevo Tarantula printer. Firstly, the wire passes through a wire straining mechanism before being pulled by a 3D printer filament pusher mechanism driven by a stepper motor. The wire guider then feeds the wire further and a bender arm mounted on the shaft of another stepper motor bends the wire. Currently, my code allows for five basic shapes to be programmed, which can be selected from the serial monitor and their sizes can also be user-defined. I hope you like it... Check out the details at http://electricdiylab.com/diy-arduino-based-2d-wire-bending-machine/ You can find the 3D file here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:378 And the code is available here: https://www.mediafire.com/file/cyc6lv... Here's a list of components I used: * Arduino Nano: https://amzn.to/2YFF7wf * Nema 17 Stepper Motor: https://amzn.to/2YKJh66 * A4988 Driver: https://amzn.to/2T4gx76 * Filament Feeder: https://amzn.to/2LYkPfH * 1 Sqmm Brass Wire * 3mm Bearing 693ZZ (5 pieces)
