DIY USB Plug
thingiverse
I'm creating USB-powered lamps on the cheap, and the cost of USB connectors can be sidestepped with this hack and a few paperclips for the terminals. Use a pair of needle-nosed pliers and a lighter to heat and shape the paperclips into place inside the PLA housing. Tuck the crimped backs of your paperclips into your wire, optionally adding solder for added security. Scale down slightly or file if it's a tight fit.
