The cost-effective roof rack project involves purchasing a 1" X 1" X 48" T-Slot from Amazon, applying cold galvanizer spray, and using skateboard shock pads for the base of holders. After cutting the pads with an exacto knife, mark and drill holes on the roof, then spray with galvanizer. Secure the rack with rubber washers and stainless sheet metal screws, and cover the heads with epoxy. The finished product will be shared along with a leak test result. Comments and suggestions are welcome, as this is a DIY project with no professional experience.
