I wasn't about to drop $30 for a Steelie stand from Nite Ize. Instead, I designed one myself based on theirs, but this is definitely not their knockoff by any stretch. Printing Details Printer Used: Flashforge Dreamer Raft Settings: Not necessary at all. Supports: Completely optional. Print Resolution: An ultra-fine .2mm resolution that's incredibly detailed. Infill Density: A sturdy 25% infill for added durability. Assembly Post-Printing Pick up some one-inch ball bearings like these online http://amzn.to/B007B2AA82. Take a few drops of thick CA glue and soak the ball. Insert it carefully into the open end, then clamp it securely in place with gentle force. For extra protection against rust, you can coat the bearing with paraffin wax, lacquer or another waterproof finish.
