I fabricated a DIY soldering iron using just a heating element, which is essentially the core component of any soldering iron. This crucial part can be effortlessly sourced from any electronics store. It's remarkably cost-effective compared to purchasing a complete soldering iron, making it an ideal choice for this project. The total expenditure on this undertaking was approximately 100 rupees. I acquired the heating element for a mere 30 rupees from my local shop. The soldering tip, priced at 35 rupees, is the only pricey component in this build. The case was expertly crafted using 3D printing technology, while the power cord was salvaged from an existing source. Taking into account these expenses, the overall cost of the project came in well under 100 rupees.
