This DIY smartplug is built around a budget-friendly 433Mhz plug set, using only the actual plugs. An Arduino Pro Mini and an NRF24L01 wireless module give it smarts. It's also compatible with the popular Mysensors framework. To add some flair, three LEDs can be installed in the bottom, enabling it to act as both an on/off indicator and a useful nightlight. Keep in mind that this device operates on 115v-265V mains voltages, so use caution when working with it!
