DIY SmartBlinds v1 - Vertical or Horizontal Blinds Automation Project

thingiverse

This is a DIY project requiring some electronics, soldering, Arduino IDE and basic knowledge uploading code to a compatible board You can follow all the relevant step by step on my blog page here: http://www.candco.com.au/2019/03/10/diy-vertical-or-horizontal-blinds-automation-project/ You will require to source the following components: - 5V Stepper Motor 28BYJ-48 With Drive Test Module Board ULN2003 (please see the images on my blog post for the type of controllers) - WiFi NodeMCU CP2102 Development Board 2.4GHz - M2.5 x 8mm long Counter sunk screws x8 - M2.5 x 8mm button cap screws x4 or 8 (these are for the internal PCB mounts, I only used 4 screws, 2 for each mount diagonally) - M4 x 5mm long Steel Hex Grub Grub screw x1 or 2 (cog mount to the shaft of the motor) - 5.5mm x 2.1mm DC power plug (you can also get a 5.5 x 2.1 DC to USB adapter and power it from a USB power supply) - 5v Power Supply with a 2.1mm DC plug Total cost of build should be no more than $20-$25 AUD. I have designed the base such that it can be printed, upright and without supports but that probably requires some level of 3D printing experience. The only component that I would print with supports is the chain cog. That is because of the dimples on the inside. Also you should print it on its largest flat surface. The top and bottom lid should be printed on their flat surfaces.
