DIY Rotary Tool (Dremel)
thingiverse
This is a simple rotary tool (or dremel) that helps smoothen 3D prints. # What you need It consists of these components: - The fastener part - The motor connector - The main body - The motor - The On/Off button - USB for power # Put everything together I used a sandpaper that I cut it to fit on the fastener part. I used an epoxy glue to stick them together. This part screws on the motor connector which makes it easier to change it. To power the motor I used a USB which is connected to the power button and then to the motor. You have to keep in mind how to connect the motor because you want to make it move clockwise so that it doesn't unscrew. I didn't design a lid to close the back because I used hot glue to keep the connections from moving. # Diameters DC Motor: - Max motor length: 30mm - Motor diameter: 25mm - Shaft diameter: 3.1mm Rocker Switch: - Mounting Hole: 15.1mm # Endnotes It can double down as a dremel tool fastener, but I don't have any around to test it.
