I designed a miniature ABS enclosure for a compact DIY emergency LED light, as I couldn't find any commercially available options that fit within my budget. To create the pressure switch and link the + and - terminals of the cells in series, I used stainless steel wire. The light itself is covered with shrink tubing, and an elastomeric cord has been threaded through a hole at the back for secure attachment. The LED selected for this project features low current draw, ensuring long-lasting performance, and emits a red glow to minimize disruption to natural night vision. This design accommodates two 1.55-volt AG6 or 371A silver oxide battery cells with diameters of 9.5mm and heights of 2.1mm.
