DIY Nintendo Switch Dock
thingiverse
I wanted to create my own dock for the Nintendo Switch as all the ones available are quite pricey. I created a simple design to accomplish this task with only one major cost being the USB-C hub. This dock can be used as a basic charging station or you can plug in any compatible adapter for full functionality. The dock does not utilize parts from the original Switch dock nor employs any spring mechanism. Because the adapter is snugly fit into the bottom, I recommend this dock only be used on a hard flat surface. The dock also doesn't obstruct the screen so you can play while charging. My switch has a glass screen protector and I highly recommend having one too. I'm unaware how overall fit is affected without a screen protector and vinyl skin. The hub is designed specifically for this 90-degree USB-C adapter: https://tinyurl.com/ybl5l3bp
