DIY Modern Baby or Pet Gate (Safety Latch / Glass Clamps / Mounting Clamp)

In this video, I'll show you how to build a modern and sleek baby gate (or pet gate) that's safe for kids to play around. I designed the gate so it doesn't require any holes drilled into walls or staircases, and it works perfectly with glass partitions! If you have a modern staircase with glass partitions, you know how hard it is to find a baby gate solution that fits your needs. You can't use tension-style baby gates because they're not safe for glass partitions - I don't think it's a good idea to put that kind of pressure on them and risk breaking the glass. My design uses 3D-printed glass clamps similar to those used in modern railings to hold glass panels in place. These clamps are designed specifically for this project, so you can be sure they'll work perfectly. I also came up with my own safety latch that requires a certain amount of hand strength and dexterity - something kids shouldn't be able to operate. I placed the latches on the back side of the gate to prevent kids from tampering with them, which also gives the gate a clean look! I'm really happy with how this project turned out, and people have given me plenty of compliments on its appearance. Safety gates don't have to be ugly - they can actually be pretty cool! These gates would work just as well as pet gates to keep curious critters from exploring your staircases.
