If you want to skip reading below, check out this video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLvqCeOJP2k This is my fourth revision of a frame that I've been working on over the past year with the input of my buddy Cooter, who suggested designing a honeycomb version. As you might know, in previous revisions, I attempted to keep motor mounts generic so they could fit multiple motors using zip ties. However, this time around, I decided to go all-in with Suppo A1510 motors which have truly earned their place on my wishlist - they fly incredibly smoothly. You can get these babies from Altitude Hobbies and the main build parts will be listed below. From motor to motor diagonally, the distance is a significant 226 mm or approximately 8.9 inches. I had one primary goal for this project: to take the thinking out of an exciting first DIY build. We've all wasted precious time and money trying to figure out which components work well together, so hopefully, this setup will be trouble-free for you. As I'm writing this, I'm also hard at work on an easy-to-follow instruction guide that'll be shared with the world in the coming weeks. And as if these goals weren't enough, I wanted to make this build super affordable too - all the parts excluding TX/RX can easily be picked up for under $150. Here's a quick rundown of everything you need to get started: * 1 Honeycomb frame that you can download and print right away * 4 Suppo A1510 motors, available here: http://www.altitudehobbies.com/brushless-motor-250-18-17-2200kv-suppo-a1510 * 4 HobbyWing 10A ESCs - grab them at this address: http://www.altitudehobbies.com/hobbywing-flyfun-series-10a-esc * 1 MultWii Flip 1.5 flight controller, waiting for you here: http://www.readytoflyquads.com/flip-mwc-flight-controller * 4 Gemfan 5030 Props - find them at this amazing website: http://www.altitudehobbies.com/mini-props-5-7/gemfan-5030-2-blade-nylon-prop-set-1x-cw-and-1x-ccw-black * 1 Turnigy 1000mAh 3S Lipo, easily found at this fantastic shop: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-1000mah-3s-20c-lipo-pack.html * And last but not least, I highly recommend a Turnigy 6X Transmitter and Receiver, check it out at: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-6x-fhss-2-4ghz-transmitter-and-receiver-mode-2.html
