I replaced the cheap bed that came with my K40 with a mesh bed, and to do it, I purchased a window screen frame kit from Home Depot for ten bucks. This kit includes aluminum extrusions and four plastic corner pieces. It's best to make this new bed the same size as the old one so that it fits perfectly into the space. For the mesh, I used square-holed chicken wire and needed a way to secure it to the window frame. To achieve this, simply cut out a piece of screen that will fit snugly inside the frame, and use the printed plastic pieces to hold it in place. At this point, it seems like this setup will work well, but I haven't tested it yet, so your results may vary.
