DIY LED Worklight - Convert Spare Lightbulbs into a portable & robust work lamp!

thingiverse

I'm transforming a school bus into a small house and sought better work lights than those from my local hardware store during the undercarriage sanding/scraping process before resealing the chassis/suspension. Instead of spending $40-50 on an LED worklight, I decided to make one using my E26 LED bulbs. The result was easy and robust, requiring 5 M6 bolts, 10 locking nuts, old power cable segments, 3/4" PVC pipe pieces, and a bit of soldering wire. Construction time is less than 10-20 minutes. A video of the prototype's assembly can be found at this link. Remember to use electrical tape on exposed metal parts for safety.
