DIY Led Ring Light
thingiverse
Construct a LED ring light specifically designed for your Panasonic HDC-SD 909 camera. The light features a circle of bright LEDs surrounding the lens, with an inner diameter of 7cm and outer diameter of 12cm. To attach it to your camera, ensure the distance from the LED ring to the camera mount is 6cm; adjust if necessary within 0.5cm limits. The design includes a built-in battery housing by Obijuan. To build the light, acquire at least 48 LEDs (3V each). Print out both parts and insert LEDs into the ring, then solder pairs of two LEDs together. Connect all LED pairs in parallel and link them to four AAA or AA batteries in series to power 2 LEDs with 3V. If uncertain about wiring, use extra LEDs for experimentation. Finally, screw the two parts together using a printed hole at the connection, mount your camera, and enjoy the cost-effective lighting solution, costing approximately €18 compared to professional alternatives starting at €150.
