DIY Laser Cut Engine Gaskets With 3D Printer
thingiverse
Actual size crankcase gaskets, OHV cover gaskets, and more for Briggs & Stratton 20HP Intek V Twin engines can be produced using a laser cutter with Gasket Material. To achieve this, I utilize Fel-Pro Karropak Gasket Material and a modified Monoprice Select Mini With Laser. Rebuilding my zero-turn mower due to a bent pushrod, which caused significant damage including a piston, connecting rod, and one of the heads, has provided valuable experience that I'm willing to share. Since finding relevant information on this topic was challenging, I hope this knowledge will be helpful for others who may need it. While using a laser cutter with Gasket Material to produce gaskets appears promising, I wouldn't recommend attempting it for head gaskets at this time, despite having successfully cut one as shown in the images. More testing is needed before making any final judgments. The following list includes the gaskets mentioned above at 100% scale: * Briggs and Stratton - GASKET-BREATHER - 690937 * Briggs and Stratton - GASKET-CRANKCASE - 594195 * Briggs and Stratton - GASKET-ROCKER COVER - 690971 * Briggs and Stratton - GASKET-EXHAUST - 690970
