DIY LASER - BELT BLOCKS

One of the objects that has always been at the top of my wish list was a laser engraver. Finally, I get one from GearBest - 2000mW A5 Mini Laser Engraving Machine is the link. This object is well done but the method to fix GT2 transmission belts to rails leaves me with doubts about damaging the belt if you tighten too much the M3 screw, which directly acts on the belt surface. I thank my 3D printer for helping me make an alternative block in a snap that I think works great. Now the pressure that locks the belt comes from a rounded dent. Yes, I experimented with engraving dry biscuits! Here's the link to my Laser videos playlist on YouTube. Featured on Instructables: laser Engraver reference board. More engraving examples are available on my Flickr Laser Album. Printer Settings: Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 Supports: No Notes: Printed in ABS.
