The DIY Ice Pack is a product designed for quicker healing, using easily accessible household items such as plastic bags, rubbing alcohol, and water. This ice pack can be secured with any rope or cloth lying around, making it suitable for everyone from kids to grandparents. The 3D printed clip allows for easy one-handed clipping and tightening using a ratcheting system. Made by putting 2 parts water to 1 part rubbing alcohol in a double-bagged plastic zipping bag, the ice pack remains unfrozen when put in the freezer, allowing for easy application. Additive manufacturing enables the creation of this clip, as it allows for axles to be printed directly into closed holes.
