DIY Haribo sorting machine with Arduino
thingiverse
I'm a big fan of Haribo bears, and I've got to say that some of them are pretty great. Sorting through all those gummies can be a real pain, so I decided to build my own Haribo sorting machine using Arduino, 3D printed parts, and basic electronics. This thing is a total game-changer - it saves me tons of time and makes the world a better place! Okay, maybe "sophisticated" isn't exactly the word I'd use to describe it, but trust me when I say it gets the job done. And let's be real, it's probably overengineered too - but hey, that's what happens when you're inspired by the genius of Simone Giertz! Here are some of the parts I used to build this amazing machine: I used a Monoprice Select Mini V2 3D printer to print all the necessary parts - check it out here: https://www.amazon.com/Monoprice-Select-Mini-V2-Printer/dp/B076MX9RKH For the brain of my operation, I chose an Arduino Uno R3 board - you can get one just like mine here: https://www.amazon.com/Arduino-Uno-R3-Breadboard-Compatible/dp/B004L6UQDQ I also used a Robot arm from Adafruit to help with the sorting process - check it out here: https://www.adafruit.com/product/2464 To power everything, I chose an L298N Dual H-Bridge Motor Driver Module - you can get one just like mine here: https://www.amazon.com/L298N-Dual-H-Bridge-Motor-Module/dp/B00F8JL5WQ For the motor itself, I went with a NEMA 17 Stepper Motor - check it out here: https://www.amazon.com/NEMA-17-Stepper-Motor-Microstepping/dp/B0002IHS6M To connect everything, I used a SparkFun Breadboard - you can get one just like mine here: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/12002 For the servo that helps with sorting, I chose a SG90 Micro Servo Motor - check it out here: https://www.amazon.com/SG90-Micro-Servo-Motor-Digital/dp/B00M8VY5H6 To detect the color of each gummy bear, I used an RGB Color Sensor from Adafruit - you can get one just like mine here: https://www.adafruit.com/product/1334 And finally, to make sure everything is working correctly, I added a photoresistor to the mix - check it out here: https://www.amazon.com/Photoresistor-10k-RS232-Module-Tiny/dp/B00I0Q5BXM
